MaryJane's Farm Fair 2009

MaryJane Butters and I!

This is my sister on the right and myself on the left. We are just about to leave to go to the MJF store!

I am posing in front of the MJF store. I am in the black dress and the long pearl necklace.

I was lucky enough to be able to attend a part of MaryJane's Farm Fair 2009. I travel to Idaho every fourth of July to visit my grandparents. It's been a family tradition for the past many years. So I thought it was perfect that the Farm Fair would be in northern Idaho-an hour away from my grandmother's home!

If you haven't heard about MaryJane's Farm, you should look at some of my past postings and go to her website at www.maryjanesfarm.org.

I was able to attend the Farm Fair kick off at MaryJane's store in Couer d'alene, Idaho. It was fantastic! It was 1920's themes. I had been to her store prior and really enjoyed it, but this was great! There was so many people there for the event in the plaza mall that houses her store. There was a live 1920's style band, free organic food, fun, happiness, and best of all...MaryJane and her family!!! She was such a gracious and kind person! Reading her magazine I had always hoped that she really was that kind and wonderful in real life and lo and behold it was true! She took time with so many of the guests and made each one she talked to seem special and important. She never seemed to rush with anyone, but took her time and actually conversed with her fans, such as myself.

I wanted a picture with her, but for some reason was to shy to ask for it...Luckily, I brought my sister with me! My sister made sure that I was able to meet MJ first-hand and get a picture with her.

I wore a black flapper-style dress, and my sister wore a cute vintage dress and hat. MaryJane's outfit was the prettiest though :)

You are so blessed to have met Mary Jane! I hope to meet her some day. I have been SO inspired by Mary Jane through her Lifebook, her magazine and Farmgirl Connection. Thanks for listing my store (NatureMaiden.com) as one of your favorites, that is such an honor!

Thanks for stopping by the prairie maid site! Love the pictures of your trip to MJ's Farm Fair! I would love to go sometime.

Why aren't you blogging more often? I love your site, but perhaps it is a time thing.

Here are a couple of sites you will really love ~ if you are a farm girl at heart.
